Commodore Amiga Mouse and Joystick port pinout

Pin 1  = Up – Pin 2 = Down – Pin 3 = Left – Pin 4 = Right

Pin 5  = Not Connected on Joysticks (Middle Mouse Button) – Pin 6 = Fire1 – Pin 7 = 5 Volts DC – Pin 8 = Ground – Pin 9 = Fire2

The Amiga mouse & controller ports are 9 pin DSUB type connectors with male pins

Port 1 is usually used connected to a mouse but both can use game controllers usually joysticks such as the Competition pro, Zipstick, Quickshot, Atari etc or the CD32 gamepad

For two player games with 2 controllers you will have to unplug the mouse from port 1, unless you use a joystick switcher like the Scrollwheel Mouse Interface featured below
